A musical Sunday evening in Delhi

On a pleasant Sunday evening, the likes of Abhijeet, Sadhna Sargam, Tochi Raina, Abhas Joshi and Mamta Sharma enthralled the capital with their performances.
The stand up comedian Rajeev Nigam was also present, and he left the audience in splits with his jokes.
The musical evening began after his comic act, with the young Abhas singing “Main Hoon Jhum Jhum Jhumroo”.His performance was appreciated, and the audience were taken by surprise at what an energetic performer he was at such a young age.
Tochi Raina, whose song “Gal Mithe Mithe Bol” from “Aisha” is on almost everyone’s playlist these days, said that even though he belongs to Patiala, his roots are in Delhi as he has spent 22 years in this city.
The moment Mamta Sharma of “Munni Badnam Hui’’ fame came on the stage, the audience started applauding. As the crowd kept chanting, “Munni Badnam’’, the singer said, “Aap sab log apna rumal nikal lijiye aur isko ghumaiye mere gaane ke saath.” And the audience did just that for her.
